How to minimize java application on Nokia S40 devices.

If you want minimize java application on Nokia S40 java application then you can first about this Midp java system. Start your mobile and run Media Player and you any media file on your phone, and then you press red button. Exclusive! Your media player is already running in background. This is not same as other application. When you run other application and then you press red button then s40 devices gives you a small massage to you “Close Application?” If in this moment when you press "Yes" Key then, your handset close this application. 

If you want to run other java application on your phone in background mode then you can follows this following steps. And you need a PC (Computer) to edit your *.jar file.
Step 1: Kindly save your application of memory card & connect your phone as media transfer with nokia suite.go to application and games folder where you find installed application 7 their Jar files first you copy your jar file into your local directory in PC then you can extract this java application using winrar. After extracting on the winrar in extract folder you find a folder “META-INF”, open it. Under this folder you can see this file same as text file “MANIFEST.MF”, open this file into your notepad utility.
Step 2: when you open this MANIFEST.MF using notepad then you see a lot of text same as this image.

Step 3: In this step you can add two lines into bottom of the text.
Nokia-MIDlet-auto-start: no
Nokia-MIDlet-no-exit: true

 Step 4: when you’re tipping and add these two lines in the text is complete then you save this MANIFEST.MF file

Step 5: Now Install Jar maker to make Jar file which you have extracted using win rar

Step 6: Open the jar maker (MS-DOS Batch file)

Step 7: Select the folder for output file & output file name application.jar is by default (file name should be the same which you copied from your mobile phone)
Step 8: Select the folder of input file (The folder which u extracted)
now click on Create JAR!
You Have All Done
Now copy & paste the new JAR file (which you have created now) into your mobile phone it will ask do you want to replace say yes & enjoy
Now when you press red button (close button) your application will still running in background
just you have to go to the application menu (where you launch application) and open it
for closing the application you have to use EXIT option in your application or else your application will RUN in background. you can run up to 10 application in background & enjoy Your S40 Platform with added feature.
